Zamfara Governorship: I’m Still In Race – APP Candidate



The governorship candidate of Action Peoples Party(APP) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Zayyanu Salisu Haske has debunked the rumour making the round that he has pulled out from the race in the state.

Haske who dispelled the rumours while interacting with newsmen in Gusau, said he is still in the race for the number one job in Zamfara state called on his teeming supporters to shun the rumours which he said is the handiwork of political detractors who are afraid of his popularity and glaring opportunity to win the converted seat on Saturday.

“I’m still in the race to slug it out with other contestants in the contest for the number one seat in the state on 9th March”, he Assured.

He described the rumour as baseless and unfounded to distract attention of his supporters and good people of the state who are willing to vote for him to become the next governor of the state.

“I want to affirm to you that I have not withdrawn from my governorship ambition. This rumour is baseless and unfounded”, he said.

Haske also condemned those who calling for the removal of Zamfara Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr Asmau Sani Maikudi and heads of security operatives in the state.

“Dr Asmau has done tremendously for conducting hitch free Presidential/national Assembly election in the state. The was free,fair and credible poll”, he said.

The APP governorship hopeful called on the people of the state to remain law abiding and come out to vote peaceful on Saturday.
