Presidential Elections: Akwa Ibom APC Governorship Candidate Losses Own LGA

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Nsma Ekere has lost in Ikot Abasi, his local government area to win votes for the party.
Results released for the Presidential Elections conducted last Saturday by Independent National Electoral Commission.showed APC loosing in Ikot Abasi for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.).
According to Returning Officer who presented  results,,  APC scored 5710 votes while PDP recorded 15,537 out of a total valid votes cast
The presentation of results which was supervised by the State Returning Officer, and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Faraday Osasere was however rejected by APC agent present, Apostle Samuel Akpan who alleged fraud.
Akpan said his party will present formal petition to challenge the results presented.
Meanwhile, Governor Udom Emmanuel who is seeking a reelection on the platform of PDP has won votes for his Party in Onna, his local government area, beating the APC with a landslide victory..
With the results presented so far from 26 out of 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom, APC won only in Mbo local government area with a total of 5299 votes against 4750 recorded by PDP
As at the time of filing this report more results from the remaining local government areas were still collared at the state collation centre for the 2019 general elections located at INEC headquarters in Uyo under a closed watch by security agents
