As Nigeria votes to decides who will lead the country for the next four years, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has declared that he will accept the outcome of the presidential election, provided it is free fair and credible.
Abubakar made the statement after he cast his vote at his Ajiya ward polling unit 012 old GRA, in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
According to him, he is a democrat unlike others and will do everything in accordance with democratic principles.
“So far so good, i am impressed with the turn out and hope INEC officials will cope”.
” We are praying for a peaceful and credible polls”, he stated.
New Nigerian reports that the Presidential and National Assembly elections commenced peacefully in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
In almost all Local Government Area visited, voters came out as early as 7:00am, eager to perform their civic responsibility.
The security situation is calm as voters lined up in an orderly manner to cast their votes.
