Addressing newsmen shortly after casting his vote, el-Rufai, commended the people for their patience, despite earlier disappoint experienced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for late arrival of voting materials to various polling centres and malfunctioning of card readers in the state.

“The people have been patient even when the card reader was not working they didn’t go home and people kept trooping in. This is very encouraging and I want to commend our people for their resilience and their commitment to exercise their civic right. He said.

Earlier, his Political Adviser, Malam Uba Sani, had earlier cast his vote in his Polling unit 041 Kawo Ward, Kaduna North.

Uba commended the process and urged the people to remain calm and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
