The Secretary General of Tijjaniyya International; Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (TIESCO), Alhaji Muhammad Garba Binkola has tasked the Tijjaniyya International Islamic Brotherhoods to come out en mass and vote for President Muhammadu Buhari on the rescheduled date of the polls.
He made the call while fielding questions from newsmen in his Kaduna residence.
According to him, President Buhari is the best candidate in view of his trustworthiness, transparency and good governance for Nigeria.
He further stated that the Tijjaniyya Brotherhood is a Sufi Order that appreciates the leadership of Mr. President in fighting indiscipline and corruption in the society with the hope of meeting their social needs.
‘We therefore appeal to all our members estimated at about 60,000,000 believers among human beings and Jinns to come out enmass and vote for the President to sustain his next level of leadership in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Alh. Garba urged his fellow members and the general population to recall the achievements of Mr. President in the areas of improved national security, agriculture, explorations and the readiness to provide youth employment in all sectors of the economy.
The Secretary General warned the leadership of other religious organizations to desist henceforth from taking cheap cognizance by accusing members of the Tijjaniyya Order that Islamized their ancestors.
Alh. Garba hinted that Tariqa Islamic Movements were responsible for the reformation and creation of ideal Islamic states in the Futa-Toro/Jallon area in 1794-1864 CE, and the Sokoto Caliphate in 1804-1903 whose leadership was recognised and appreciated by the British Colonial Masters that ruled the Caliphate, until Independence in 1960.
“Since then, there was no organized Islamic Teaching until the arrival of the erudite Scholar and Master of all; …Sheikh-al-Islam: Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Niasse al-Khaulahi to Kano, Nigeria in 1938.
“Sheikh-al-Islam (Gausu) was unanimously received by the greatest Leaders, to mention as the Greatest Emir of Kano. Alhaji Abdullahi Bayero, General Gowon, Major Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi and the best Islamic Scholars, such as Shehu Gibrima, Shehu Abubakar Mijinyawa, Shehu Abdullahi Salga, Shehu Atiku, Shehu Tijjani Zangon Barebari, Modibbo Zailani Yola and Shehu Ahmad Ali Abul-Fathi to mention a few. Those and their disciples constituted the elites class in Nigeria.
“The Tijjaniyya International disciples do not have commercial nor political scholars as an agenda, but strictly relate their practices to the teachings of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his descendants and able companions.
“Those that act contrary to the teachings of Islam are on their own and their followers are definitely misguided. Ibn Umar (RA) narrated that :The noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “One who withdraws from obedience to the Ameer will find no argument when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgement; and one who dies without having sworn an allegiance will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahiliyya” That’s the reason why the Tijjaniyya disciples give their allegiance to the noble Prophet through their guided Sheikhs in Islam,” he submitted.
