It was an atmosphere of fanfare and unity among different political, religious, corporate and Non governmental organizations as a nine year old kid dancer known as African Michael Jackson made the convergence of these diverse individuals and groups on a single platform in Kaduna to further echo the message of peace and unity ahead the 2019 General Election.
The event tagged ” A Runway to Life Project and First African Michael Jackson Award ” took place in the multipurpose Hall of Zeecool Hotel Barnawa ,Kaduna, saw the conferment of awards on individuals and corporate organizations in recognition of their efforts and commitments towards a better Nigeria built on just and prosperous society.
Convener of the event, Mr Columbus AbdurRahman Geoman who also doubles as the father and manager of African Michael Jackson said it was necessary for all well meaning Nigerians to contribute their quota towards having a peaceful 2019 Election devoid of any form of violence.
He said the task of nation building should begin with recognizing the talents of Nigerians at their early formative years so that they could be mentored to actualise their dreams in various fields of human endeavour.
He disclosed that his nine year old son ” who gathered us here today began exhibiting special interest in the dancing of the late “Rock and Roll” icon, Michael Jackson whenever the family was playing the videos of Jackson at home.
” At age nine he had started performing on stage with such big names in Nigerian Entertainment Industry like Tuface Idibia, Danrule, Gordons, Mc Tagwaye, Zule Zoo among others.
” It is my aspiration to see this boy (African Michael Jackson) perform in big cities such as ; Paris , London, New York, Milan and Las Vegas in the nearest future. It is a project I am working tirelessly to actualise. ” Mr Geoman said.
Earlier, David Obama Geoman (African Michael Jackson) who entertained guests at the event with the dreaded ” moon walk” dancing steps of the late Michael Jackson said he was inspired by the love the late music icon had for little kids who he usually hosted in his famous mansion while he was alive.
He called on Young Nigerians not to hesitate to develop their talents and interests in any fields of human endeavour.
Commissioner of police Kaduna state command,NTA Kaduna, Invicta FM, Senator Shehu Sani, Hassan Hyet, Mathew Hassan Kukah, Micromanna , InterFaith among others were some recipients of the awards.
Emmanuel Shaibu , a radio talk show host, called Mr “walker walker” who received the plague on behalf of Invicta FM applauded the gesture of the host and expressed optimism in one and greater Nigeria which he said would see the emergence of young talented stars of primary and secondary ages who would, according to him conquer the world with their talents in entertainment.
