Maize, Sorghum Production Training For Young Farmers Ends

The three days training of 40 participants on maize and sorghum has successfully ended at the IAR/ABU Zaria.
Speaking at the closing  ceremony, the Director of the Institute, Professor I.U. Abubakar said the institute has properly trained them to be able to go and make it outside.
According to him, the training they underwent was on maize and sorghum seed that has potentials for good productions.
The participants received starter packs for the needed farming with the hope they will make use of the experience they acquired during the training.
Professor Abubakar charged the participants to be good ambassadors of IAR after they left.
In their separate remarks, the participants expressed their appreciation to the Chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture Senator Abdullahi Adamu for the opportunity given to them to be part of the training at the most prestigious institute of Agriculture IAR/ABU Zaria.
The hope that such training should be sustain on a regular basis to give others the opportunity to learn more about the Agricultural production.
