Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa, Chairman of the Katsina State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign council has said the committee is working round the clock to ensure a rousing welcome for President Muhammadu Buhari visit to the state on Thursday.
The chairman of the council and secretary to the state government disclosed this during a press briefing.
According to the Governor, the campaign council targeted two pint eight million votes during the Presidential election.
He however urged people to turnout en-mass to welcome the President to Katsina during the presidential campaign.
The campaign council Chairman noted that the gubernatorial campaign outgoing was excellent and encouraging.
Alhaji Muhammad Mustapha Inuwa noted that despite the large turnout no injury was inflicted on innocent people and no evidence of political thurggery during the electioneering campai8ngs.
He announced that arrangement has reached advanced stage to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari who will begin the Presidential campaigns with a visit to the Palace of Emir of Katsina and later moved round the city and finally address a rally at Muhammad Dikko Stadium.
The Chairman appreciated the contributions of the media and other stakeholders during the gubernatorial campaigns.
The Press briefing has in attendance the State APC Chairman Shitu S. Shitu the Special Assistant Permanent Secretary government house Muntari Lawal, the Secretary to the campaign Council and Special Assistant Intergovernmental Dr. Lawal Bagiwa among others.
