12 Out Of 17 Katsina Guber Candidates Step Down For Masari




Twelve out of the seventeen gubernatorial candidates of various political parties in Katsina State have stepped down their contest for Governor Aminu Bello Masari’s re-election bid.

The State Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council, Alhaji Musa Usman Wamba announced the endorsement when he led them to Government House, Katsina.

He further revealed that 55 out of the 72 political parties with offices in Katsina State have also endorsed the candidature of President Muhammad Buhari for second term in office.

One of the gubernatorial candidates, Alhaji Lawal Abubakar Bagiwa who spoke on behalf of the other candidates said they are stepping down for Governor Masari because of their conviction that he is the better person to continue leading the state from twenty nineteen to twenty, twenty three.

He assured that they would work hard for the victory of the APC candidates in Katsina State at the elections.

In a remark, the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Shitu S Shitu assured that they would be treated justly by Governor Masari in the next dispensation.

He expressed the hope that the remaining five gubernatorial candidates would also throw in the towel before the first cast of ballot on the second of March gubernatorial.

Responding, Governor Aminu Bello Masari expressed gratitude to the twelve gubernatorial candidates for stepping down for him to emerge victorious in the elections.

Alhaji Aminu Masari assured that the gesture would not easily be forgotten and would be reciprocated.

He pledged to continue to do more for the development of the state.

The Gubernatorial candidates that step-down their contest for Governor Aminu Bello Masari are for JNPP, Labour Party, GPN, SDP, UPC, Democratic Alternative AD, and PPN.

The rest are ADC, MAJA-Party, YES Party, Mega Party of Nigeria MPN, and MMN.
