Use KADSWEF Loan Judiciously, el-Rufai’s Wife Tells Benefiting Women

The wife of Kaduna State Governor, Architect Hadiza Isma el-Rufai on Friday called on the women who have benefited from the 39m Naira of KADSWEF loans to use it judiciously for the purpose meant for.

Architect Hadiza Isma el-Rufai expressed this at the Second Tranche of Northern Senatorial District of  Kaduna State Ministry of Women and Social Development and disbursement of Kaduna State Women Empowerment Fund (KADSWEF) held at Barewa College Hall, Zaria.

Speaking during the KADSWEF loan to women, she said, the gathering was not of politics but to put smiles on the faces of women to be self reliant.

Hadiza said, the gathering was the  continuation of empowering the women by the state Governor.

She said that her passion for the welfare of the people of the state has driven her to put the empowerment in place to reduce idleness and over dependence on family and the government.

She said the state Governor approved the disbursement of 200m Naira  to women.

“It is not meant for men, it is a way of supporting the women in areas of their businesses to be self reliant,” she said.

“While urging the beneficiaries to be committed and use the funds given to them wisely, the state Governor is for the people he has pledged to do more. 400m will be disbursed soon  while next year will be 800m Naira,” she added.

Earlier, the Commissioner of Kaduna State Ministry of Women and Social Development said 39m Naira was  disbursed to women in the Northern Senatorial District,  Zone 1.

According her, about 1,800 women have  benefitted from the disbursement which is done in collaboration with the Kaduna State Women  Empowerment Fund KADSWEF loan for Second Tranche of Northern Senatorial District.

She said,  “this is the second time we’ve disbursed to the women in Zone 1. Women who have opened an account  in a bank are eligible to the loans,” she added.

Hafsat urged the women to go for their permanent voters card (PVC).

“The collection of PVC has been extended to Monday. I appeal to you all, if you do, you’re eligible as an electorate to vote in the general elections,” she said.

The wife of the Senatorial Candidate, Zone 1, Hajiya Amina Dalhatu Kwari,   appreciated the governor and his wife for their insight at curbing poverty in the land as well as show of care for the women especially at the grassroots.

She urged all the women to come enmass and vote in APC, adding that  from now till election day, they have to work hard to succeed in the forthcoming elections.

She appealed to the women to use the money given to them wisely adding that more was on the way.

Speaking on behalf the people of Zaria, Alhaji Suleiman Bamali said the disbursement of funds has never happened in their community, saying that the instructions were given to carry everyone along, and they can testify that everyone has benefited from it.

He applauded the efforts of the governor’s wife  towards rescuing women from dependence on government to self reliance, adding that, it has aided the women to be engaged in various businesses.

He commended the governor who has given the go ahead to disburse the funds to women in zone 1 while he urged the women to use it wisely for the growth and development of themselves and their families.

He  assured the governor’s wife of their votes towards the general election for APC, assuring them of more funds after the elections to be self reliant.

He solicited for the support of the women for February and March general elections and commended the initiative of the Governor’s wife at uplifting the standard of livelihood of the people.

Meanwhile the women were jubilating at the venue, (chanting Sai Malam, Sai Baba Buhari), while they received alerts.
