The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chikun/ Kajuru Federal Constituency House of Representatives, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams (Shekwaga ) has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to call its candidate to order or risk losing massive support for the Presidential and Gubernatorial Polks in the constituency
Honourable Adams expressed this while reacting to rumours making the rounds, that he has quit the contest as well as other fake information allegedly linked to incumbent representative, Honourable Yakubu Barde who is seeking a fifth term.
Adams, who was the consensus candidate of APGA for Chikun/Kajuru Reps, told newsmen that if PDP must do well in the Presidential and Guber polls, it should be ready to sacrifice the repos seat for that constituency.
“Why should I withdraw now that I am seeing victory ahead of me. It is just the other party that is seeing failure that is carrying the rumours. Come 16th February I am going to shake the person called ‘No Shaking’. I am a candidate contesting under APGA and confident if sweeping the polls” he said.
Speaking further, he said that the main person he is contesting against, belongs to PDP has for long taken what belongs the masses.
“He has been in power, for the last 16 years he has been in House of Reps. I will never support such a candidate,” he said.
Debunking another false news allegedly linked to the same source, insinuating that he is a Muslim, he cleared the air.
“He gas been going around trying to use sentiment by playing the religious card, telling people that I am Muslim, which is untrue. I am a Christian and a Catholic.
” He wants people to be be saying that I am a Muslim,” he added.
When asked if his party has structures on ground in Kaduna State to win an election, he said Nigerian electorate are becoming dynamic and would no longer file out behind parties.
“This time around, nobody is doing party. Party politics is gone, people will vote individuals. In 2023, it would even be more pronounced as people will sir back in their houses and vote,” he added.
