As part of the ongoing gubernatorial campaign, the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has inspected two ongoing road projects in Kankara Local Government.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, the Secretary to the Government of State Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa and State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu among others.
The two roads inspected include Dayi-Na’alma-Tuge-Gundawa-
In all the sites of the projects, the State Commissioner of works, Hosuing and Transport, Alhaji Tasi’u Dahiru Dandagor along with officials of the construction companies briefed the Governor on the extent of works carried out on the roads.
The Commissioner revealed that only one bridge remain to be completed on Dayi-Wawar Kaza road while seventeen box culverts and sixteen ring one have been completed on Kankara-Dansabau road.
He said clearings and sand fillings have been completed on the roads.
In all the sites, Governor Aminu Masari expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the projects.
He assured that every effort would be made to complete the roads for socio-economic development of the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the APC gubernatorial campaign train in Katsina State has so far visited six local government areas to canvass the support of people ahead of the scheduled general elections this year.
This Monday, Governor Aminu Masari was in company of his campaign team visited Sabuwa and Dandume Local Government Areas.
While in Sabuwa, Governor Aminu Masari has commissioned a modern abattoir constructed by the present state administration as part of efforts to provide a healthy meat for public consumption in the area.
In all the two places visited, Governor Aminu Bello Masari has assured to improve security in the areas as it’s vital for societal development.
Similarly, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in the State, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu received decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party to APC.
The campaign continued on Tuesday with a visit to Bakori and Danja local government areas.
