Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have warned President Muhammadu Buhari that they would not vote for him in 2019, if he fails to intervene and end impunity being perpetrated by the National Chairman of the party.
They angry APC members expressed this while protesting the ‘sole ticket’ handed to Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani at the party’s state secretariat on Tuesday night.
Speaking on their behalf, Saidu Idris Dibis, an aspirant for the Kaduna State Assembly, Kawo Constituency, said that the decision taken to illegally disqualify other candidates to pave way for Senator Shehu Sani was unjust and would not be tolerated.
He said that President Buhari should intervene and make the National Working Committee of the party and its national chairman rescind the decision.
The aspirant said that members and supporters of the party thronged the secretariat to protest the impunity and pave way for a democratic process.
Other protesters who spoke separately, threatened to stop the primary election scheduled for Wednesday.
