Ahead of 2019 general election, Nasarawa State gubernatorial aspirant, Alhaji, Tanimu Salihu has taken his ambition to ward and officially declare his interest to contest for governorship of the state under the flagship of All Progressive Congress (APC).
While addressing the people of Wamba in his local dialect, he enumerated his plans for Nasarawa State and the people of Wamba at large even as he solicited for their support.
Receiving him at his palace, the Emir of Wamba, Alhaji Lawal Musa Nagogo, expressed his support towards his ambition to become the Governor of the State in 2019, while urging the people of Wamba to give Alhaji Tanimu Salihu the needed support.
“its a great thing to hear that Wamba is producing such vibrant, credible and ambitious young men as governorship candidates ahead of 2019.
“I have been giving blessings in the past to people from other local government who have contested for this same position, but to Alhaji Tanimu Salihu, I am not only going to give him support as an illustrious son, I will as well pray for his success, the royal father said.
Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Yahaya Wamba alongside other APC officials and Wamba Youths expressed their support towards what they described as “the journey”.
A campaign office was also commissioned.
