Ahead of the 2019 general elections, a grassroots politician who has been on the terrain since 1999, Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir popularly known as Dakaci has pitched his tent with the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN).

He made his intentions known, at the Kaduna State executive council of the GPN meeting held in Kaduna on Saturday.
Dakaci, who is hoping to grab the party’s ticket at the primaries and vie to emerge as the Igabi Representative at the House of Representatives, said that the constituency is not well represented at the moment.
“I have observed and decided to join GPN as the party with bright prospects to protect interest of the masses,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that already he has a blueprint that would be implemented immediately he wins at the 2019 polls.
“We will focus on empowering the youth, to ensure that vices are eliminated from my constituency. We will also give priority to healthcare and education.
“As we speak, an Almajiri who was with me right from time, is now a 100 level student in a tertiary institution,” he said.
In his remarks, the Chairman of GPN Kaduna State, Ahmad Mohammed Zegi told him that he made a wise decision by choosing GPN.
He welcomed him on board and expressed optimism that he would be a blessing not just to GPN, but his constituency and Nigerians.
“We believe you have the qualities to represent well and make an impact at the National Assembly,” he said.
He explained that although the party is new, it is blessed with dogged grassroots politicians, armed with strategies.
