A Kaduna-based women empowerment organization,  Al-Ihsan Foundation has rejected Senator Shehu Sani over ‘failed’ promises, ahead of the 2019 elections.
Responding to questions from newsmen at the Senator’s Ward 6 Constituency of Kaduna Central, the leader of the women group, Hajiya Ladi Garba, expressed disappointment with the Senator.
She explained that  Senator Shehu Sani,  who currently represents Kaduna Central had failed  “woefully”, as “no community development  project worth a million naira  could  be linked to  our Senator”.
She went on to charge that  the people  of Ward 6, the Senator’s immediate constituency “have been regretful of voting him in as Senator in 2015”, adding that it was a grave mistake on the part of Kaduna Central voters.
She further explained that  Senator  Shehu Sani has made several promises  to the Al-Ihsan Foundation on the need for “empowerment with  financial support to all members, but he has not been seen since then, and we are only waiting for 2019 to pay him back  accordingly”.
The leader of the women  multipurpose cooperative society then declared that women in Senator Sani’s constituency have had their minds made up, regarding the “total rejection of Senator Shehu Sani in 2019, endorsement of Governor Elrufai for second term and Uba Sani as replacement of the failed Senator”. It would be recalled that six APC Local Government Chairmen of the State had earlier rejected Senator Shehu Sani and endorsed both the incumbent governor and his Special Adviser on Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Uba Sani. This is the second rejection of the incumbent Senator and the open endorsement of the duo for 2019.
