Bauchi State gubernatorial aspirant in the 2011 elections under the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressives’ Change (CPC), Abdullahi Adamu Danchina has declared ambition to contest for president in the 2019 elections under KOWA party.

Dan China told press in Bauchi Thursday that the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling ‘All Progressive Congress [APC] have performed below exceptions and failed to redeem campaign promises while on the saddle for almost three years now.

Danchina attributed ‘bad governance in the country and stunted growth’ over the years to absence of relevant professionals to head ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).

According to him, most of the current ministers of the federal republic and heads of extra-ministerial departments appointed by President Buhari have not been posted to offices relevant to their professions ‘which makes them unable to perform well and bring developments to the nation.

”For instance, the current minster of mining is an animal health doctor, so how do you think he will have the idea of how to boost the country’s mining sector? Buhari too is a military man, what he knows is war. Do you expect him to be a good administrator?, he queried.

Danchina, who is a miner and environmental expert promised that he would diversify the nation’s economy if elected president come 2019 by revamping farming and mining activities with a view to discarding the over dependence on oil as the only source of revenue of  government.

”Industrialization in Nigeria is neglected, mining and farming can provide numerous jobs to teeming unemployed citizens, but it is unfortunate that this important sector has been neglected despites the abundant mineral resources God endowed this country with”.

“Since when I finished my education, I never worked with government. I engaged into mining activities for over 21 years now and I am successful businessman”, he recalled.
