Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa has promised to deliver his home state for the All Progressive Congress (APC), as his state belongs to the party.
Bindow made the promise Tuesday, when addressing thousand of his supporters who come out to welcome him back after six days official visit outside the state.
Addressing the crowd at the gate of Government House, Bindow appreciated the people for the love they have shown to him, President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC.
The governor, who expressed surprised said he is overwhelmed by their love and assured that his administration will continue to provide the desired dividend of democracy to the people .
He said he is sure APC will win the presidential and gubernatorial election in Adamawa because the party has impacted positively on the people of the state.
“With what I have seen today, I am convinced that APC is the party to beat in Adamawa,’’ the governor stated.
While assuring them of government continued support, the Governor urged the people to endeavour to obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them vote both President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as the present administration in the state.
He also advocated for peace and tolerance for positive development in the state.
Earlier, the State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal said the rousing welcome was as a result of Bindow’s developmental strides.
He said the achievements recorded so far have made opposition jittery, and increase the chance of winning the 2019 elections for APC.
