INEC Chairman

The movement for sustainable democracy and good governance (MSDG) has  advised the Federal Government to ban any candidate that has a pending case at EFCC, ICPC, Courts or commissions of enquiries in order to bring sanity in Nigeria’s democracy.

The group  National Chairman, Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali  made the call in an interview with our correspondent in kano, adding that some of the candidates that are vying for different elective offices had pending cases  but still are aspiring for elective posts which is a slap to democracy.

He disclosed that good governance remained the key to national progress, therefore all those who are vying for different elective positions must be clean and truthworthy  especially in a dimocratic dispensation when people elects governments of their choice.

Alhaji Dauda  Ali lamented that the group has commenced mobilzing and enlightening electorates on the needs to elects good leaders, where he assured that his association is working for the progress of the citizens and to ensure that all is well at both rural and urban settlements.

In conclusion,  the chairman announced that  MSDG has members in all the 36 states including the federal capital territory working for the protection of democracy.
