APC Chieftain Defects To PDP In Adamawa, Says Party Is A Failure

Following the controversies that trailed the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Adamawa State, a front line politician in the person of Habila Istifanus, has defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Istifanus disclosed that the unfair conduct of primaries and unfulfilled promises are among the reasons for his dumping the ruling party.
The front line politician from the Southern part of the state who made the remarks Monday, while defecting to the PDP in Yola, the Adamawa State capital maintained that Governor Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, who was instrumental  to his joining the APC, failed to keep any of the promises made to him before joining the party.
“I am disappointed in APC as a party and with the way they conduct their affairs, so I have decided to part ways with them”, He stated.
Istifanus said he has decided to pitch his tent with the  PDP because he trusts and has confidence in them.
” Fintiri, and Atiku are people you can trust, my entire political structure with it’s over 30 thousand followers, is committed to working for the PDP and in support of the PDP presidential and governorship candidates”, he maintained.
Istifanus who hails from the same area with Atiku stressed that the former Vice President is a very huge factor in his decision to return to the PDP.
Receiving the decampee, Ahamadu Umar Fintiri, the flag bearer of the PDP in the state, urged Istifanus  and the people of the Adamawa to remain committed in the fight to recapture the future of their children from the hands of the APC government.
“No one is happy with this government that has unleashed poverty and hunger in Adamawa State”
“The fight to remove APC is not a fight for our personal interest, it is a fight for the future of our children.” Fintiri affirmed.
