Akeredolu’s Wife Donates 400 Laptops To Youth

Graduands of the 2018 edition of BEMORE Summer Bootcamp training which was held recently at the Federal University of Technology, Akure had received 400 laptops as part of measures to mark the year 2018 edition.
Donating the materials, Mrs Akeredolu who gave these gifts during the closing ceremony of the two weeks camping exercise, assured that the BEMORE girls will contribute effectively to the actualization of a better Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, the wife of the Governor  stated that the Bootcamp has succeeded in building the next generation of complete leaders who are technologically proficient, health aware and highly skilled as entrepreneurs.
She further affirmed that the young girls are all set to defy and leapfrog all obstacles in ensuring that the Nigeria flag stands tall in G20 summits.
“I must warn you that there will be challenging times, but you should know that this camp has equipped you with all that you need to overcome them all. You are the twinkle little stars we hope will navigate our voyage, you are indeed the hope of many generations that has lost hope.
“Girls, to rise up to the task ahead, you must put all you have learnt here to practice, mentor many more girl children and build a formidable network of change agents”, she added.
 While thanking all those who supported the initiatives and made it a success, Mrs. Akeredolu particularly acknowledged OSOPADEC, the BAAF team, Ashdam, Seedev, Shoprite among others for being the giants upon whose shoulders the girls are standing to see further in order to create lasting development for Nigeria and the world at large.
The chairman of the occasion, Chief Mrs. Bisi Fayemi in her address lauded Mrs. Akeredolu for coming up with the initiative saying that Ekiti government will take a cue from the initiative to the benefit of its own people.
While also congratulating the girls for being among the privileged few who have the opportunity to be exposed to technology at an early age, Chief Mrs. Fayemi charged them to make the best use of the privilege and become great future leaders.T
Other speakers at the event included  Mrs. Toyin Adegbenro, wife of the Honourable Commissioner for Health and Matron at the 2018 Boot camp, the special guest of honour, Prof. Joseph Fuwape ably represented by Prof Felix Oguntade among others applauded Arabirin Akeredolu for the initiative saying that with the knowledge garnered, Ondo State will in a few years time be on the world map when it comes to technological advancement.
The event also featured goodwill messages by representatives of Microsoft and Ashdam, presentation of prizes to deserving BEMORE girls, dance performances and speech by the Valedictorian of the BEMORE Summer Bootcamp, 2018, Miss Jerry Bisola.
Some of the awardees include Iranlowo Mercy, Olawumi Mafolabomi, Precious Adesuloro, Joy Semudara and Ugochukwu Michael who got N25,000 cash prizes each from Emerging Communities Africa for best essay;   Tochukwu Prisca, Jerry Asheotu, Oladele Abolore, Suleoman Idowu and Ogoroma Racheal
Concluding the event, some of the beneficiaries, Ileayo Magba and Oladele Abolore thanked Mrs. Akeredolu for giving them the opportunity to be among the privileged few while promising to use their newly acquired skill to the very best of their abilities.
Also gracing this occasion were the Deputy Governor of Ondo State and his wife, Bar. Agboola Ajayi and Chief Mrs. Ajewole Ajayi, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, the Vice Chancellor, FUTA, Prof. Joseph Fuwape,  HRM Oba Adebori Adeleye,Olubaka of Okaland, chairman OSOPADEC, Hon. Gbenga Edema among others.
