The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris has stressed the need for the communities to join hands with security agencies to fight drug vendors and their addicts in the society.
Emir Idris made the call during a traditional Sallah homage known as “gaisuwar fada” which all sons of Zazzau Emirate converge on the palace to pay special Sallah homage as part of the activities lined up for the celebration.
He said the issue of drug abuse among women, children as well the household is worrisome and there needs to be drastic measures to stop the menace .
According to him, the authorities are very concerned and will take serious actions on whoever is found to be involved in this deadly act.
The traditional ruler also directed all the district heads to organize a quarterly security meeting in their respective domains as agreed in their meeting.
Alhaji Shehu Idris advised communities to support the security agencies with useful information about any suspected situation around them particularly the issue of Fulani/farmers crisis with the view of finding a quick resolution before it escalates.
On the polio eradication, the Emir congratulated Kaduna State Government for the success it recorded in the whole state and called for more vigilance in ensuring that polio virus has no place in Kaduna State.
