Staff Welfare, Developmental Projects Are My Priority – Zaria LGA Boss

The Chairman Zaria Local Government Area, Engineer Aliyu Idris Ibrahim has reiterated his administration’s readiness to improve staff welfare and developmental projects that would touch the lives of the common man in the area.

He stated this during a media briefing  in his office, stressing that he will do his best in providing good governance and an all inclusive government for the benefit of the citizens.

Represented by the Vice Chairman, Alh. Aliyu Ibrahim Attukuri, he said, all the salaries of the newly recruited teachers will be paid immediately as directed by the state government.

Engr. Aliyu Idris also assured the people in the area of providing the needed security of lives and property of all citizens as well as providing good healthcare services.

On capital projects, the council chairman said each of the 13 wards will have equal funds for the projects Proposed by the communities and it will ensure that no ward will be left out in enjoying dividends of democracy.

Speaking further on leave grants, Engr. Aliyu Idris said the sum of N12, 200,000.00 was  provided for the immediate payment and also the sum of N5,000,000 was allocated for the settlements of some contract debts.

According to him, the verification exercises for staff has been completed with only some minor corrections from the staff names.

In a related development, the executive Chairman Zaria Local Government Engr. Aliyu Idris Ibrahim has appointed Alh. Abubakar Rilwan former State Vice Chairman I (APC) as his media and communication adviser in a latter dated 6th August, 2018

Also, he is the local Government’s Chief of Staff and overseer of  education of the local government.

The letter reads, “I hope the council will benefit from your wealth of experience in promoting the local government activities.”
