Speaking to journalists on the matter, the Chairman Danmagaji Market Development Association, Alhaji Ahmad Ja’afar “DALLA” said the developer used some people who have no business in the  market and pretended to be the executive members of the association just to pave his way for his planned mission.
Alhaji Ahmad noted with great concerns that wholeheartedly the traders don’t want the project to be done under Alhaji Abdullahi Shukura because they don’t have confidence on him.
“The market which is known all over West Africa for vegetables and other ingredients for soup but today somebody wants the long established market’s name to suffer a heavy blow just because of selfish interests.
“We are calling on the peoples Governor, Malam Nasiru el-Rufai of Kaduna State to as a matter of urgency,  call Abdullahi Shukura to stop him from further actions until we are compensated as the law warrants.”
The traders appealed to the Governor to wade in to the matter with the hope of addressing the issue once and for all.
