Former Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Alhaji Sani Sidi has vowed to rescue Kaduna State from its present state of comatose as a result of bad leadership and lack of development and progress of the administration of Governor Nasir El-Rufai if voted into power in the 2019 Governorship elections.
He made the declaration at the state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), when he formerly made his intention to contest under the umbrella of the party known.
He said the state stopped to progress since the All Progressives Congress (APC), came into power and that the state hasn’t witnessed any meaningful development under the administration.
“Kaduna state stopped to progress since Malam el-Rufai became governor, he has cost a rise in unemployment, with the sacking of workers especially teachers, families have been thrown into poverty. Drug abuse has risen in high proportion amongst youth as a result of the administration’s inability to create jobs. Workers are owed salaries.”
According to him, “I strongly believe that the PDP is the only party that can bring back the needed change that is required and that is why I have decided to join the contest. Everywhere I have served I served well, I have never failed in any project I have engaged myself in.”
He urged the chairman of the party, Mr. Hassan Hyet to believe in him and accord him the necessary support he will need to actualize his ambition, while assuring to adhere to the rules of the party.
Alhaji Sidi pledged to accept the outcome of the primaries and work with whoever emerges the party candidate; I promise to be faithful to the party and do all that is required to bring victory to the party, “‘ he stressed.
In his remarks, chairman of the party assured the aspirant of a level playing ground, and advised all aspirants to be good losers.
” This great party is known for transparency and as such it must be exhibited in all it does.”
