Kafur LGA Backs Masari’s Education Transformation Agenda

Kafur Local Government Council of Katsina State has restated resolve to support Katsina State Government’s Transformation Agenda in the education sector.
The Head of the Local Government Administration, Alhaji Hamza Umar Sabuwar Kasa made this known at the closing ceremony of quiz competition organized by the Local Government Education Authority for primary schools in the area.
Represented by the Director of Education and Social Services Alhaji Aliyu Sama’ila, Alhaji Hamza Umar described education as catalyst for societal development.
The head of local government administration added that the state government had succeeded in restoring the lost glory of education through renovation and upgrading of primary and secondary schools and recruitment of additional teachers.
He commended the efforts of the local education authority for organizing the event and charged teachers to double efforts to reciprocate and compliment government gesture.
The education secretary of Kafur local government Alhaji Yusuf Alhasan Sabuwar Kasa said the quiz competition was organised to motivate students and improve intellectual capacity.
He added that one hundred and twenty seven schools across the seven zonal education participated in the quiz.
Alhaji Yusuf Alhasan also commended the effort of the state government for the recruitment of additional teachers under the S-Power Program.
The representative of traditional rulers from the area Alhaji Abdulkarim Umar while commending the organizers charged parents to support the educational pursued of children.
At the final round of the competition, Unguwar Gabi Primary school emerged winner by defeating Yari Bori primary school.
