Imo Governorship Aspirant Promises Governance Hinged On Principle Of Rule Of Law

Immediate past Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

An Imo State governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Hon. Uche Onyeagocha has vowed to run an administration hinged on the rule of law if given the mandate come 2019

Addressing a cross section of the people in Owerri the state capital on Friday, Hon. Onyeagocha noted that the people of the state have for the past  eight years suffered what he described as constant disobedience to the rule of law.

According to him, during his tenure as the governor of the state, human rights shall be guaranteed.

He added that he will apply himself to enthrone  all the political rights and privileges he had fought for since his adult life.

Onyeagocha emphasized that freedom of information, gender equality, right to education, child rights, rights of the physically challenged persons and environmental protection will be ensured.

He further said that as a lawyer, the way to achieve this is very clear to him, promising to conduct local government election within one year of his first tenure in office.

Hon. Onyeagocha alleged that Imo State  is currently in trouble as the present administration in the state has continued to impoverish the people.

He noted that there is onerous job of healing the land and pacifying the wounded, believing that it would require the collective efforts of men and women of goodwill to restore the peoples confidence in government.

On the state of business climate,  he  promised to register and capture  all legitimate businesses operating in the state in a new comprehensive data base for the purpose of certification and support.

This according to him will help energize the business climate in the state.
