The Senate on Tuesday, July 24, adjourned it’s plenary for two months.
The adjournment is coming after the recent attacks on the leadership of the upper chamber.
Senate President Bukola Saraki made the announcement on during the upper chamber’s plenary session.
The lawmakers are to reconvene on Tuesday, September 25.
The adjournment is part of the prayers of a motion on the siege on Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
The Senators went on a 30 minutes break first to enable them adopt the votes and proceedings of the day.
