Following the crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Kaduna State Football Association (KSFA) on Sunday rising from an emergency meeting, unanimously declared its total support for the NFF leadership under Amaju Pinnick.
According to a communiqué issued and signed by the State FA Chairman, Alhaji Sharreeff Alkasim who presided over the emergency meeting which was attended by the board members and zonal chairmen of the Local Football Council (LFC) in the state, their decision to stand by the leadership under Pinnick is “in line with the FIFA status which recognizes the election that produced Amaju Pinnick”.
The communiqué also commended the support of the Federal government to the NFF, particularly during the recently concluded world cup in Russia.
“Kaduna State FA hereby wish to declare her total support for the NFF leadership under Amaju Pinnick.
” We also support the composition of the electoral body to conduct election into the NFF and urge that nothing should stop the election as scheduled”.
The state FA however noted that the leadership crisis that has bedeviled the NFF is not a healthy one for football development in the country and called for all and sundry to put all hands on deck and engage in activities that will further develop football in the country.
It could be recalled that the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth development, Solomom Dalung only recently said he will abide by the judgment of the supreme court which ordered that Chris Giwa is the authentic President of the NFF.
That singular decision of the Minister has continued to generate lots of controversies which FIFA was equally quoted not tonne comfortable with.
On that note also, the Kaduna State FA in her communiqué said, their choice to stand by the NFF leadership under Pinnick and his executives is sacrosanct.
