A housewife, Mrs Rukayat Akinbile on Friday told a Grade C Customary Court sitting at Iletuntun area of Mapo in Ibadan that her husband allegedly wanted to use her for money ritual.
Mrs Akinbile who made the allegation while defending herself in a divorce suit brought before the court by her husband, Mr Okanlawon Akinbile also told the court that her husband has not been taken good care of their children and herself
The housewife alleged that her husband used black soap to clean his private part before making love with her and ever since she observed that he wanted to use her for money rituals and that her husband had bought her a ring on her birthday which she refused to use with her husband mounting pressure on her to use it
She stressed that however after she succumbed to her husband’s pressure and used it , the ring disappeared and was later removed from her body through spiritual means.
Earlier, the husband, Mr Okanlawon Akinbile alleged his wife raising false accusation against him and
prayed the court to dissolved their 18 year old marriage , saying, he was no longer interested in the marriage because of his wife’s deception and non- trustworthiness
Mr Akinbile told the court that his wife would leave home without returning on time and asked of her movement, she would give him ungenuine excuses , saying, “she
told me that her Pastor told her that we should not sleep at home for some spiritual reason which I agreed with her, she went and sleep in her mother’s and I sleep else where. My wife didn’t come back after some weeks”
However. the wife in her response said, “I deliberately told my husband that some Pastors told me that we should not sleep at home because I know his intention is to use me for rituals “
Mr Akinbile then urged the court to grant her husband’s requests and dissolve their marriage, saying, “I
want the court to go ahead and grant my husand’s request . I am glad that he is seeking a dissolution of marriage because I can’t tolerate him anymore
President of the Court, Mr Henry Agbaje in his ruling, dissolved the 18 years marriage and ordered that the children should be in the custody of their mother while the father would, through the court be paying a monthly allowance of N10,000 to the children.
