Bandits Kill, Set Ablaze Remains Of Four Policemen In Edo

 Four policemen in Edo State, were Saturday night brutally killed by suspected armed bandits at Oke/Avbiosi road junction in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The dead bodies of the policemen who were attached to the Sabongida Ora Division of the Nigeria Police Force, were also set ablaze inside their patrol vehicle by their killers.
New Nigerian reliably gathered that the moment the patrol van conveying the policemen packed by the Oke/Avbiosi road junction for unknown reasons, the armed bandits reportedly opened fire, killing the four police men before they could disembark from the van.
It was further learnt that the killed officers were soon after set ablaze by the armed bandits who also removed the dead police officers’ fire arms.
Executive Chairman of Owan West Local Government Area, Hon. Frank Ilaboya who confirmed the incident, described the killing as dastardly act, noting that the matter must be investigated and the culprits brought to book.
 But image maker of Edo State Police Command, Mr. Chidi Nwabuzor who also confirmed the killings said “We are aware but we have not been properly briefed.”
