Niger Police Parades Seven Arrested Deadly Criminals



The Police in Niger State has paraded seven suspects over kidnap for ransom, armed robbery, homicide, rape and theft cases recorded in parts of the state capital as part of it’s recent success stories in crime fighting this month.
Among the seven are two men who are accused of kidnapping a ten year old boy, Abdullahi Hadi.
The two were hired as security guards by different persons but connived to kidnap a ten year old son of a retired senior Customs Officer at Dutsen Kura Gwari area of Chanchaga in the state capital.
Other members of the criminal elements in the Police net are two armed robbers, a suspect for a culpable homicide, theft and a rape suspect.
The Police said the arrest followed unrelenting fights by the Police against criminals operating in parts of the state.
The two security guards were arrested last week following the kidnap and missing of a ten year old boy by the security guard employed by the father of the victim in their house at Dutsen Kura Gwari area.
The guard, Shehu Maigadi, employed by the father of the young boy, had connived with one of his friends and a security guard in another house at London Street of Dutsen Kura Hausa area, a high brow residential area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) for Niger state Police Command, Mohammed Abubakar, a Deputy Supretindent of Police, advised citizens to take their personal security seriously and ensure the true character of those they engage as domestic help, guards and house helps.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Police in the state to continue with the onslaughts against men of the underworld to guarantee safety of lives and properties of citizens.
