Governor Simon Bako Lalong has described the late Alh Sale Hassan as a peace maker whose wise counsel contributed immensely to the peace building efforts in the state.
Lalong stated this during a condolence visit to the family of late Alh Sale Hassan in Jos.
Gov Lalong said the loss is a great one to the government and people of Plateau State saying “the state will miss the wise counsel of the elder-statesman whose legacy of peaceful coexistence remains indelible.”
In a response, Alh Ibrahim Sale Hassan, son of the deceased appreciated the Governor for consoling the family at its time of great grief.
He commended Gov Lalong for his efforts at peace building adding that “after over a decade of unrest, your tenure brought an unprecedented peace for three and half years, until the recent unfortunate breakdown.”
The Gov was accompanied by Prof Sonni Tyodden, Deputy Governor, Members of the State Executive Council, Hon Rufus Bature, Secretary of the State and Chief John Dafaan amongst others senior government officials.
