The National Chairman of the Atiku Care Foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Ibn Abbas has disclosed that within a week of engagements with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the United Kingdom, they have learnt a lot from him, especially the respect he has for Nigerian youth.
A statement signed by his spokesman, Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available to newsmen informed that he expressed this on Monday April 30, 2018.
“It has been a serious week loaded with serious engagements and frank talks as young people that had the privilege of being part of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar’s entourage to the United Kingdom. Values learned were subjected to integrity test.
“Serious minded Nigerians and potential investors interested in the development of Nigeria brainstormed, built trust and established synergies needed to make Nigeria work again.
“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar once again averred his respect and value for the Nigerian youths which he believes should be the core interest of every leader,” Ambassador said.
He said that the Wazirin Adamawa sounded from his perspective as an employer of labour whose consistent contributions to making the youth useful and productive has been impacting.
“According to His excellency in a BBC Hausa service interview he promised to give 40% of appointive positions to the youth. His interface with the youth drove his passion for what he did because to him he has a responsibility to develop those them rapidly,” he added.
