The Bishop of Salem Gospel Mission International, Dr. Richardson Ademitoye Oyediran has been installed the General Overseer of the Church in Nigeria and Overseas.
The installation which took place at the Mission’s spiritual Headquarters on Saturday, March 3, 2018 drew dignitaries from far and near.
The Chancellor of the church, Hon. Justice O. Ladiran Akintola performed the swearing in on Bishop Dr. Oyediran in a colourful ceremony and was witnessed by spiritual leaders of the church and her neighbourhood.
Bishop (Dr) Jones O. Fatunwase, the Moderator and Apostolic Father of the church performed the Consecration and Installation of the new General Overseer amidst other spiritual fathers in Ife Modakeke and beyond.
Instruments of office which were presented to the new General Overseer include, the Holy Bible, the Church Constitution and a certificate.
As a spiritual and dedicated servant of God, it was on record that Dr. Oyediran introduced the Diploma of Theology programme into the college’s curriculum in 1995 and the first set of Diploma students graduated in 1998.
Taking his message from the book of Joshua chapter 1 verses 1___9, Rev. Dr. Musa Asake charged the newly installed GO to be strong and very courageous in the discharge of the work in his new ministry.
According to him, every assignment that God gives to Joshua is to sanctify him as the leader and by being careful of every decision to be taken, adding that if you act courageously, you will get more courage since courage is given by God.
Dignitaries at the occasion were the Chairman of Council if Retired Ministers, Apostle G. O. Awosemo and his Secretary, Rev. M. O. Cairo, the Oyediran Clan and their Odubanjo counterpart.
The ceremony was also witnessed by Council of Ministers and members of Ibadan 1& 11 Districts, Lagos and Ogun Missionary District, Edo, Ondo Ekiti and Lagos Districts.
