A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state, Alhaji Umar Sani Nalema over the weekend asked South West states governors to incorporate other tribes into their cabinets.
The Vice Chairman of Nasir El-Rufai Media Forum stated this while speaking after being turban as the Katukan Hausawa Ibadanland by the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru.
He declared that this was part of the moves towards ensuring that the unity of the country is sustained, saying, “it will further enhance national unity, peace and concord”.
According to him, Gov El-Rufai of Kaduna State is presently having in his Cabinet indigenes of other geo-political zones of the country including Yorubas from the South West States who have been performing their roles well without molestation.
“I will like the good people of Yorubaland to reciprocate the good thing Governor El-Rufai is doing by incorporating people of other tribes into their cabinets. This will not only give these ethnic groups sense of belonging, but it will further enhance national unity, peace and concord” he said.
The All Progressives Congress Chieftain added that for Nigerian unity to be fully sustained, it is now time for state governments in the country to promote inter-State integration to further boost national unity.
“Once you are born in any State, you should be able to share the benefits and privileges of the State without hindrance or let” .
He maintained that Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State has put in place a policy whereby anybody who is born in the state automatically becomes a citizen of the State with equal rights and privileges.
The APC leader then urged all Northerners resident in Oyo State to continue to rally support for the administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi, adding, ‘the Governor is friendly to Northerners.
