2017 Kaduna Trade: Govt Assures Investors of Conducive Environment

Kaduna State Government will ensure that more jobs are created from the private sector by providing an enabling environment for investors to grow and expand their businesses.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai gave this assurance while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 38th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex said that already, the Kaduna Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) will prevent multiple taxation, a problem which has for long troubled many businesses.
Speaking further, he explained that in furtherance of the state’s commitment at boosting economic activities, it has set up the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency which is a one-stop shop for investments in the state.
In her welcome address, President of KADCIMMA, Dr. Muheeba F. Dankaka advised Kaduna State government to speed up development in the state through Public Private Partnership.
“We commend Governor el-Rufai for creating a conducive environment for our businesses to thrive. We intend to also consolidate on the efforts of the government, while drawing their attention to the theme of this year’s fair; ‘promoting Public Private Partnership as Panacea for accelerated Growth and Development’ and we are ready to partner government on this,” she said.
The Fair which attracts exhibitors from all the states of the federation and from abroad will be held from February 24 to March 5, 2017.
