2017 Gothia Cup: ABS To Host Kaduna Tiki Taka Trials For Nigeria’s representatives

Thirty players who distinguish themselves would be selected from 10 cities across Nigeria to represent Nigeria at the 2017 Gothia U-17 Soccer Competition, billed for Sweden.

They would form Nigeria’s Tiki Taka team, that would compete in the competition, prided as the world’s biggest  U-17 Soccer Tournament.

Kaduna Coordinator of the Tiki Taka Football Development, Faisal Mohammed Abdullahi said that Kaduna trials will be held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, from January 21-25, 2017, from where the best players would be penciled down.

He explained that prior to that, trials would be held in Abuja first week of January, while other places that would also hold same are; Lagos, Ogun, Taraba, Niger and Kano.

Others are North Central city Jos and South South oil-rich Port Harcourt.

When asked how interested players can join the trials, he explained that they would be expected to register with a token of N3,000 each to account name; Avantgarde Ultimate Solutions Ltd, account number 007456624, Diamond Bank.

On what they are expected to gain from featuring at the Gothia Cup, he said that it is a good platform to launch a career as scouts from all over the world would be watching all the games to spot talented players and help them start up a rewarding international career.

“Tiki Taka will market the boys to the world. They will get chance to move to a big club because all the big teams in European teams send scouts.

“The beautiful thing is that even from our trials here in Kaduna, scouts would be on ground to look out,” he added.
