Ahead of the much debated 2017 AFCON qualifying match between Super Eagles of Nigeria and their Egyptian counterparts, former Skippers of the Super Eagles, Nwankwo Kanu and Joseph Yobo has predicted victory for the national team when Nigeria will be hosting the Egyptian National Team at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna come March 25, with the return leg taking place in Alexandria four days later.
According  to Kanu Nwankwo during an exclusive interview with NNSports, the ex- internationals noted that the Pharaohs are beatable in Kaduna because both the players and Coach Samson Siasia are aware of the serious challenge they will face against their opponents saying the Egyptian are not push overs having been rated among one of the best football nations in the continent, it will be difficult for them to run away with the three points at stake because Nigeria has always played better when they face strong opposition.
“I am fully convinced that the Coach Samson Siasia tutored side will grab the three points at stake because experience has shown that  the Super Eagles perform better against strong opponent and when people do not have confidence in them.
In his reaction on the match, Yobo predicted that home support will play a role in ensuring that Nigeria run away with the vital three points at stake in the encounter even as he said that the match will be a very difficult one.

“It is going to be a very difficult game considering that both teams have character and are among the best in the continent.
“But enjoined Nigerians to pray for them and also throw their total support at the team before, during and after the game”, Yobo concluded.
