Lawal made the declaration on the floor of the House during an emergency sitting of the Assembly in Lokoja.

He said the House had settled down for business and would pass the 2016 Appropriation Bill sent to it for consideration and approval after necessary legislative processes.
Lawal commended the maturity of Members of the House for the amicable resolution of the leadership tussles which polarised the House in the last three months.
Speaking with Newsmen, the erstwhile factional Speaker, Mr Godwin Osiyi (PDP, Ogori-Magongo) said the impasse was resolved through the intervention of the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Osiyi said that the Acting National Secretary of the party, Chief Uche Secondus summoned all the PDP Members in the House to Abuja where they were asked to sheath their swords and work amicably for the development of the state.
He said that they all resolved at the meeting to maintain the status quo ante and allow Lawal to remain as Speaker, adding that they could not afford to be disloyal to the party.
On the other hand, Osiyi said no position was too big to let go and no sacrificed was too big to make for the peace and overall development of the state and the country.
