2016 Hajj: Kaduna completes pilgrims airlift back home

The last batch of Kaduna State Pilgrims that performed the 2016 Hajj under the auspices of Kaduna State Muslims Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has returned to Nigeria today, signifying the end of the airlift from Saudi Arabia.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi stated that the last batch of 447 pilgrims arrived Kaduna around 10:30am on today, on board Max Air.
The Director General, Bureau of Interfaith, Engr Namadi Musa, Overseer, Imam Hussaini Sulaiman Tsoho Ikara and other government officials were all on board the last flight, the statement added.
According to Malam Yunusa, 5, 575 pilgrims performed this year’s Hajj from the state, among whom one died in Makkah.
The press statement said that the Overseer of the Board, Imam Sulaiman Tsoho Ikara thanked all the government appointed officials under the leadership of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Balarabe Abbas Lawal, all stakeholders and staff of the pilgrims’ board for ensuring a successful Hajj this year.
