Ondo Govt to generate 1, 500 jobs in 2016

The Ondo State Government is to revive the Golden Ceramic Products Company in Ifon, Ose local government area of the state to employ about 1, 500 workers in 2016.
The 24 year old moribund industry is being resuscitated by the Governor Olusegun Mimiko led government in collaboration with Jac-estee Nigeria Limited .
Signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for the re-opening of the concern on behalf of government in Akure, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Aderotimi Adelola, said the resuscitation of the company will create employment for the teeming youths and boost income generation for the state.
Adelola affirmed that the development is part of efforts of the state to prioritize industrialisation which is included in the ‘A CARING HEART’ mantra of the governor and to aid genuine development of the state economy, hence, the need to rejuvenate the industry which had proved a hard nut to crack for previous administrations.
He said the indigenous company is expected to complete the resuscitating of the project within the next six months in order to increase the economic status of the state, adding that the company will be producing Tiles by June, 2016.
