Islamic Cleric tasks Lawyers to uphold Justice

Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), in Plateau State have been urged to uphold justice in all its ramification devoid of fear or favour.
National Chairman, Council of Ulama Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, made the call while offering special prayer to mark the 2015 Law week themed; “Law, Corruption and National Development.”
He said: “As part of the change mantra of the administrations of Muhammadu Buhari and Barrister Simon B. Lalong, the judiciary is called upon to uphold justice without fear or favour for the betterment of our society.”
Sheikh Jingir said: “This entails Lawyers, Judges, Law enforcement agents and all those involved in the administration of Justice.”
The cleric while praying for the success of the law week and even beyond, further extended the prayer to the people and government of Plateau state, Nigeria and Nigerians at large.
