Kaduna NDLEA Seizes Cannabis worth N2.8m

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kaduna State Command has seized cannabis worth N2,869m between October to November 2015.
Speaking to newsmen while parading the suspects and the exhibits to newsmen in Zaria, the state Commandant of the NDLEA Mr. Sunday Azinge said the command will continue to trace their hideout and get them arrested for prosecution.
Azinge said 18 suspects were under investigations and when completed they will be charge to court.
According to him, Kaduna State will soon be drug free and with support from Government of Kaduna State and other security operatives in the state, NDLEA will conquered them.
The main suspect popularly known as ‘Artillery’ from Giwa Local Govt of the state was on the run while his brother Umar Hudu was arrested alongside the exhibits for prosecution if found guilty.
Among the suspects is a retired Soldier by name Micheal Ohahka an indigene of Imo State and a dealer who was arrested more than three times before now.
Also among the suspects is a female Nurse who goes by the name Hauwa from Kaduna North Local Government who was arrested severally for allegedly selling Syrups to drug addict.
The Commandant appealed to traditional, religious, and community leaders to give information on the activities of drug traffickers and consumers in their areas for quick action.
He expressed appreciation to Kaduna State Government for the Logistics and other support given to the agency which impacted positively on their operations in the state.
