Pandemonium as miscreants allegedly killed student at GSS, Kaduna

One of the students of Government Junior Secondary School, Badarawa, Kaduna has been alleged killed while several others sustained varying degrees of injury as a result of an attack unleashed on the school by the miscreants Tuesday.
It was gathered, pandemonium broke out when the miscreants, who invaded the school through popular’ Columbia’ in the area began offensive assault on the occupants of the school, pouncing on anyone they could lay their hands on, and students in retaliation picked up available item for defense, resulted in chaos.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu, has expressed displeasure over the incident and vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.
“I want to express displeasure over the incident at GSS Badarawa, where miscreants came to the school and caused chaos. We will not allow unscrupulous individuals to go our schools to cause chaos. We will not allow any such incident. The matter is before the Police, the ministry will follow it up,” he said.
Local vigilante from the area tried to arrest the situation, but they were overpowered by the miscreants and the students before men of Malali Divisional Police Station were contacted and stormed the scene. But the warring parties remained adamant until the state security outfit, “Operation Yaki” arrived in four Hilux Vans before the situation was brought under control.
At about 1215 hrs, military reinforcement, led by an Army Captain (name withheld) after consultation with the school Principal ordered the students and staff to vacate the premises with immediate effect.
When contacted, the Principal, Shuaib Abdullahi said he has been directed by representatives of the Governor and Director of Schools, not to talk over the development.
However, Head of Operation Yaki, Colonel Yakubu Yusuf Soja (rtd), said they are going to fish out the miscreants just as he assured the community of his readiness to combat crime in the state.
He urged the community people to furnish the security agents of any suspicious activities around them.
