18 Rescued Chibok Girls Handed Over To Immediate Families

Gov. Zulum Support Victims with cash and Food items

The Executive Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, Hon Umar Ibrahim Hauri has handed over the 18 rescued   Chibok Girls to respective families at the weekend.

Among the 18 abducted girls,  ten were part of Chibok Girls abducted in 2014 and the remaining eight are the abducted girls from Pemi Ward of Chibok Local government Area.

On that note, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has approved for the support of the victims through the ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development with the sum of one million, four hundred thousand Naira and food items.

Each of the ten Chibok girls received the sum of 100,000 Naira with food items, while the eight other victims of Pemi Ward also received 50,000 Naira each, with food items.

The Executive Chairman while presenting the items, thanked His Excellency the Executive Governor for his tremendous support and gesture. 

He urged the beneficiaries to make good used of it.

In attendance  were the vice chairman, local government secretary, councillors, traditional leaders, APC stakeholders and women leaders among others.
