No fewer than 148 communities  have been displaced in Southern Kaduna.

President of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) disclosed this at a press briefing in Kaduna on Thursday April 28, 2022.
According to him, Chikun and Kajuru local government areas are  worst hit.
“There are also  many other communities in Zango Kataf, many in Kauru.
“We have not less than 200,000 living as IDPs. Most of them are staying in uncompleted buildings in dehumanizing conditions,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that those affected  have been displaced out of their ancestral lands and some of the communities have been occupied by the attackers.
“We have a huge humanitarian crisis resulting from that,” he added.
On palliatives support for those affected by the attacks and the IDPs, he said that so far, it is only the N200 million donated by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike  the union is aware of.
“I was called by the Kaduna State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman that some funds have been donated.
“A committee will be set up, comprising SOKAPU, CAN, JNI and other stakeholders to identify those that it would be disbursed to,” he added.
