‎Inferno: Shehu Sani, NEMA, CAN Commiserate With Kaduna Correspondent Chapel

Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State chapter have commiserated with the Kaduna Correspondent Chapel ‎of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State council over its secretariat that was gutted by fire.

The senator who was represented by his media aide Abdulsamad Chima Amadi expressed shock over the unfortunate incidence and promised to assist.

He urged members of the chapel not to be discouraged in discharging their well known vibrancy  in reportage but rather get more motivated in carrying out their duties.

“I will see to it that you are assisted particularly with working tools most of which you have lost in the incidence,” he promised.

Also, Malam Kazeem Lere from the NEMA Zonal office Kaduna, who led other staff of the agency on assessment of the burnt secretariat, said, “We got information of the unfortunate incidence and as partners in progress we have been sent here to commiserate with you.

“We have seen the burnt secretariat and have access the extent of damage, we will report our findings back to our boss and am sure the office will see to how quickly you can be assisted to continue your work of informing and educating the public,” he explained.

‎Commiserating with the chapel also, CAN state Secretary, Rev (Dr) Ibrahim Sunday, ‎who led other members of the association to the burnt chapel secretariat thanked God that no life was lost in the inferno that consumed almost the entire chapel and properties worth millions of naira.

He prayed God to comfort the Chapel members in this trying moment where they have lost most of their working tools.

“We have seen the burnt secretariat, we will see in whichever way we can assist‎ you considering your importance in the society and the need for you to continue with your work,” he observed.

Others who visited and commiserated with the chapel‎ include founder of Sickle Cell Health Promotion Centre, Hajiya Badiya Magaji Inuwa, Pastor Yohanna Buru founder of Peace Revival and Reconciliation foundation and Mallam Lawal Yusuf Muduru popularly known as Mallam Nigga of the Nigga Rehabilitation rigasa.

In his response to all those who commiserated with the chapel, Chairman of the Chapel, Mr.Midat Joseph, commended their show of solidarity and prayed God to bless them and help them to keep to their promise of assisting the chapter.
