The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial candidate, for Kaduna State in the 2019 polls, Honourable Isa Ashiru Kudan has said that the Kaduna North Senatorial will not disappoint their Southern Kaduna counterparts in delivering bloc votes for the party during the March 9 gubernatorial polls.
He expressed this when fielding questions from newsmen after 1,000 support groups paid him
a solidarity visit at a meeting held at the Areas House in Kaduna on Thursday February 28, 2019.
“We have disappointed our brothers and sisters from Zone 3 it was not deliberate, we discovered issues and we have taken measures to address the issue.
“We would do whatever is humanly possible to deliver our zone this time,” he assured.
He said they will double their efforts. “By the special grace of God, we will edge them out on march 9,” he vowed.
On the conduct of the polls, he said that at the initial stage of presidential, it was free fair and credible but along the line things changed.
On the gathering, he said that he was overwhelmed by the massive show of love by the supporters.
“I am overwhelmed that over 1,000 support groups came here to pay me homage,” he expressed..
Ashiru assured that their agents are being groomed to perform better and they have written to INEC to provide better agents who are learned and well trained for the gubernatorial polls.
Earlier during the solidarity meeting, he told the groups that he has heard their complaints and would address them.
He said their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is grateful for their support and would come personally to thank them.
On their chances at the polls, he told the gathering that there was optimistic that they would edge out the ruling party in the state.
“In sha Allah, they should start packing out of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House,” he said.
“I want to commend your efforts and for standing with PDP. We have a mission, we know what we want to achieve. One is to rescue Kaduna State from the calamity two is to unite our people third is to bring back our civil service. Kaduna civil service has gone to its lowest ebb. People are battling with hunger and stroke everywhere,” he said.
He assured them that they will be there for them and carry all along.
“I want to assure you that their is no escaping for the ruling party in the state. Our govt will not be one sided.
“The issue at stake in Kaduna is something that if you go to bed you cannot sleep. We will not fight, it is election we want and elections must be conducted.
He thanked all the support groups for working for PDP even though nothing was given to them.
“Come out enmass on March 9 and do your best to ensure that PDP carries the day
“We have gone back to drawing board to restrategize. We have seen their angle, but won’t allow them to see ours,” he stated.
