In its effort to tame banditry in Zamfara State, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched an air strike recently in a  bandits’ logistic hideout  at Kagara Forest in  the State.

NAF Spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola confirmed the success of the operation by affirming that air strikes by the Air Task Force ( ATF) for operation Diran Makiya destroyed some logistic stores in Kagara Forest   belonging to the bandits.
The officer said “the operation was executed  recently following credible intelligence reports indicating that some of the armed bandits  who have fled their camps as a result of NAF’s earlier air strikes had relocated some logistic items including fuel, motorcycles and local arms making equipment  to another location within Kagara Forest”
He said “the target area initially appeared uninhabited. However, as the helicopter approached, some of the bandits were seen emerging from the shrubbery and running away from the area”
